Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate (experience)

Initially released in April 2019 as Mortal Kombat 11, Mortal Kombat finally got its major upgrade in November 2020 with the Ultimate Edition where not only the base game is included but all the add-ons such as kombat packs and the Aftermath expansion are all included. Released on both last gen and current gen machines this NetheRealm studios behemoth could well be the best fighting game ever made. And I would like to sincerely acknowledge the great Ed Boon for shaping up this entire franchise from gaming to series and movies, he has done a tone of admirable work with his teams. I wish to share my experience with you and as you know by now we not so much about influencing buyer choice but rather a feedback outlet to the development community on how they can further galvanize their future projects. In doing this lets have a look at the ggs (Graphics, Gameplay and Story) of this game.

Graphics

Without a shadow of doubt MK11 visuals are easily the best in the fighting game genre irrespective of hardware of choice you get that fluid modern look. Of course the better the hardware you have the more you get to exhaust the hidden potential. From the voice capture to the character textures there's clearly no room for disappointment. You cant even compare this game to any Mortal Kombat before it, the best comparison visually will be Injustice 2 which is more so on par with this games visuals. So in a nutshell incredible looking and gruesome.

Gameplay

One of the best step-ups from the Mortal Kombat series had been Mortal Kombat 9 and I tell you why, most of the future iteration mechanics seem to be based on the framework of the MK9 edition which to me was the best direction taken. So speaking on this entry the gameplay is for me a huge improvement from MKX especially on the game speed/pace. While they may not be a vast difference you get that slightly slow in control feel. Added to this is the character upgrades, kosmetics yes kosmetics as its called in the game, variations and weapon editions makes for a more enjoyable custom experience. There is a lot this game offers you and I found it satisfying. You will find also that gameplay is very more on the technical side than who gets to hit the combo buttons quickest which gives a more competitive approach to the game.

Story

For me this area has been more like a downside for me on almost every Mortal Kombat entry. The stories just feel more like fill-ups than an actual necessity. Its understandable that they need to have a background for each character but then I find that the story world and how the characters fuse together in the narrative is more on the lackluster side. The way the outworld characters and earthly characters just clash with guns and supernatural powers just kind of becomes clumsy for my taking. Much can be said by the stories of the other games and story of this game in particular, it feels like the let down. You will enjoy some aspects but for me its just not so convincing, its not something I would replay nor miss just more like an added task.

In conclusion this game is worth every penny you've got and its satisfying, from a lush roster and incredible graphics Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is the ultimate fighting experience. Your thoughts and please like subscribe and lets hear you too.
