Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Open Beta

Right guys welcome again I just want to quickly share my thoughts on this beta software we got and remember whatever I am going to say is more of me giving out my wishlist thoughts towards the final product because this is not the end product of Call of Duty but merely the company giving the market a foretaste of their intentions. So we quickly do a GG no S because S is still on its way in the final product:

Graphics

Looks promising but at the moment looks kind of washed out and slightly grainy compared to Modern Warfare 2019. Since its still using the same engine I can compare the two in moderation. The guns and character models don't look final, they have this sub look (Crispy but not perfectly ironed out as would be expected). But with this typed (said actually but I am typing here) its not an accurate comparison because Modern Warfare 2019 is a complete product. My wish is they target that level of fidelity because that was very much photo-realistic. If they can surpass it the better but again they are covering a lot of systems including 2013 hardware. I will be totally disappointed if for some reason they stick to this level of fidelity. So graphics needs an improvement however I must say I like how the character clothing reacts and moves as you run along especially in 3rd person you get to see your clothing kind of billowing/fluttering in the wind. That's a welcome addition really cool. I also like the addition of FOV on consoles and also Fidelity FX which is something I am still playing around to get the best look but that's very good. What I have just said above is not all but just some of the highlights for me there's till more additions for you so checkout. Last but not least the character models are nice and are a good kickoff. They are not just basic looking but look like those intimidating skins from the get go so I am happy with this. Interesting new characters as well so something to look forward to for you there.

Gameplay

The most essential part of course. Again comparing the trajectory here with the final product of Modern Warfare 2019 let me quickly summarize it this way:

< I love the way you slide now: Sliding irritated me in the 2019 version because it was almost guaranteed when someone slides they win the 1 vs 1 gunfight. It was also unnatural to say the least so they aimed for something realistic here. I found a lot of complaints about this but I think its unfair. This now is good and even more realistic less of an arcade rush so to say(type). It also brought about a realistic pace so I am happy.

<3rd person is arguably the best add on in this game: A new perspective and one I shall forever dwell on. It makes the whole experience new as it has never been there in a COD game when in game running around with a weapon. It only kicked in when driving vehicles etc. So far that's the best aspect for me for a whole new experience. I was worried about the camera snap from 3rd person to gun but seems the transition was done well as I did not find any obstructions. It may not be groundbreaking for you if you play ghost recon games but its really nice for COD.

>One on one gun fights: I am not sure what to say about those as the ttk seems very limited. You can get shot several time by just 3 bullets or even less. That needs to change, I wouldn't want the final product to ship with this. Its kind of depressing so to say, you don't feel in control of a fun fight but more at the mercy of response times or the software.

To conclude I am not going to be overlay heavy handed and criticize a beta product just to get clicks and attention as some might do but I want this to be a contribution to Activision and the team as a whole on some of the stuff I think they can tweak around. I am just a pebble in the water to the many opinions out there from influencers and so forth but that's me so far. Cheers.

Pros

More realistic gameplay

3rd person

Cons

Graphics need to be polished

TTK (Time to kill) needs to be adjusted to allow for better 1vs 1 gun fights.
