Release:25 January 2024
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Microsoft Windows
Publisher:Bandai Namco
Graphics
I have played this both on PS5 and PC and as long as you can get this on PS5 level specs you are good to go. Not a big deal really between PC and PS5 of course the PC will allow you to tinker with the visuals a bit but then again no huge perceptible difference.Just as a quick example on this:
Above is the PS5 version and below is the PC version (important to note the PS5 version was still at demo state at the time of the recording however even with the finale release not much changed)
While the scenarios are a bit different already you can see you are not losing a whole world of graphical fidelity but again ofcourse PC just goes further than what the console can do. For more clips I encourage you to check our Tik Tok as more fun stuff is posted there.
So doesn't ,matter where you play as long as you can get that 60fps on your PC cause you don't need any higher fps as you won't see the necessary gains
Gameplay
Obviously the fun part about the game and as a player who played all Tekken's excerpt for 7 in my life it's easy to say it's the best of them all. I find it also easier to play even for first timers I mean i came from Tekken 6 PS3 and straight to this and it was as if I am playing the same game just a lot better looking and even easier to master combos.
Also good to know we have a sweet mode called Arcade quest which i enjoy the most.
Story
I am a little disappointed here compared to Tekken 6 it felt very short for me and hurried. Too much focus was on Jin and Kazuya and the other characters were just script fillers. It's important to note though that its not significant to have a great story in fighting games as you spend most of you time fighting than caring much about stories primarily governed by cutscenes as the sole backbone of the narrative.
Overall it's just not a great story at all but just something to play and forget. I am also not sure what the events were in Tekken 7 because they could be the reason why the story was approached this way. Click below at you own risk:
