So this game is a March 2020 release for a couple of platforms including last gen console(PS4 & Xbox One) and current gen consoles(PS5 & Xbox Series consoles) together with PC. Obviously its not entirely current gen but more of a cross gen app, yes app as you download it as a free game in the online store of the platform of your choice. It takes more of a battle royal style approach with a lot of people playing in different modes offered such as Plunder Money, Battle Royal, Quad duo resurgence etc.
This is going to be a different approach to my subjective experience blog reviews because this game is a multiplayer component of the 2019 Call of duty Modern Warfare and also the recently released COD Cold War. The two and their characteristics, perks etc merge within this multiplayer. Its a very enjoyable game and is actually my most played multiplayer game.
I am inclined to mention something regarding Cold War and Modern Warfare as both of their traits trickle in this multiplayer. To me Modern Warfare of 2019 is less arcade than Cold War. You can even feel this from the gunplay as Modern Warfare guns feel more realistically simulated as opposed to its successor and even the movement and overall pace of the game. Graphics also seems a tad bit better on Modern Warfare than Cold War. I will say more when I compare the two versions in future.
Overall COD Warzone is fantastic giving you the options to customize your weapons to your liking, matchmaking you with players of your level and enjoyable with friends in parties. Its very much easy to play but mostly dependent on your internet connectivity and speaking of internet connectivity in connection with gaming if interested please check out further information from Digital Foundry on the following https://youtu.be/S2CU0HKpYTU , I found the video very insightful. I also like the cross play feature as both Playstation, PC and Xbox players can play together at the same time within the same session. There's just a few things I dislike. First if you are not a Playstation user you will notice the huge game file updates which tax so much space on your storage. Playstation users get an advantage due to Kraken compression(PS5) and even Zlib compression(PS4). Second is the microtransactions through buying characters and weapons with real money or COD points which are very much hard to earn. Lastly there are reports of online cheaters but I cant say I have experienced those evidently but what I can say is at times in a shootout some people seem unreasonably invincible.
