Another technical masterpiece from Remedy Entertainment. They continued with their unique style from Quantum break and here the main protagonist also had featured in Quantum Break ( Courtney Hope as Beth Wilder). Firstly I think the actress was a good fit for this game its like she belongs in such storylines and blends in well resulting in a good character model perfectly expressing her emotion within a virtual world and they captured her features very well.
Lets start with the bad part about this game, for me it was the story, it was bad in being complicated but good overall. Complicated in that you had to read articles and pickup items within the game in order to understand what's going on.
On the bright side Control is an amazing looking game fluid combat and beautiful graphics:
There are a lot more interesting abilities that you unlock during the game that bring about interesting gameplay the likes of the shield, subduing your opponents mind converting them to fight on your side and a lot more. The ability tree develops with relevance and purpose and makes it interesting to want to further develop your character in order to better execute your opponents.
This game has X-Men vibes to it and I am really becoming a firm fan of remedy games. They seem to be venturing into unexplored territory with great looking games, gameplay, graphics and rich deep stories. I like something unique and this is truly that. I highly recommend you play this its so much fun to play. Game length is very reasonably plus it sort of presents itself as a semi open world game which is great with lots of areas to explore too.
I definitely need a sequel with the same style of play, I was very much impressed and I hope the devs continue in this direction. I would like to know your thoughts.
