Crysis 3 came out in 2013 and was published by EA. It was developed for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It uses Cry engine 3 the same engine used in Crysis 2. My experience with the game was really different in an interesting way compared to the other Crysis games.
In Crysis 2 I don't remember if my main character ever said a word but in this game I could talk. The visuals are fine but a little strange when using older GPU's(last gen consoles). I experienced more of a jagged image than refined and to my eyes I think Crysis 2 seemed a little more stable than this one. However despite this the action in this game is really top level as you could feel it is the climax of the series.
The game has a rich more clearer narrative and really fun gameplay. Compared to the previous one which seemed a bit lonesome in terms of having you as the main character venture within enemy territory without clear story guidance as to why should you be there in some instances. In Crysis 2 you were more of a lonewolf as compared to 3 where you are a hero and everyone is counting on.
After having played the first two the gameplay in this game carries a sense of ease within itself more forgiving during enemy wave shoot outs in other instances compared to the first Crysis. The environments are more rich and interesting. Its generally an easy to get familiar with game filled with explosive action embedded in a rich environment for example the lush green foliage you can crouch in something new and a lot different from the other 2 entries.
The previous Crysis was more city based (Newyork) whereas in this you get different environments. Much of the mechanics from Crysis 2 carry over here such as custom making your suit and gun but the artillery slightly improves and is more fluid and fun to play with the introduction of the bow and arrow weapon which proves critical. Also you get that ability to hack gun turrets making it a whole lot easier and fun when taking out enemies.
The only main problem I had was the jagged visuals but apart from that its a great experience. When playing it on PC and Series X plus with VRR enabled it kind of resolved it. Character models are really good much better than the other Crysis games with more clarity. So overall if you love first person shooters this will fill in the love for you.
My wish for this series would be an optional view for 3rd person and the main reason would be for us to see the glory of the Nanosuit. I feel like first person view kills the vibe of having the Nanosuit making it more of another basic 3rd person shooter. I don't know if they will make Crysis 4 but we will see. Please support by giving your opinion down in the comments regarding the game. Cheers.
