Graphics
What makes this particular rendition of this series even better is that on Series X you can unlock the framerate to 60fps thanks to the Microsoft fps boost feature which sadly for some reason has been slowed down or brought to a halt. There are no clear cut reasons to this but presumptions say perhaps its the licensing rights and all the legal stuff that goes with gaming software that makes it difficult to just apply fps boost on all old titles. I find it weird because on PC there is freedom when it comes to these things. The game looks smooth clean and clear and very much playable and acceptable in todays target audience standards. Obviously the graphics are born from two generations prior but they still gracefully holdup.
Gameplay
Having the freedom to experience this game at 60fps on console is satisfying with a consistent framerate to the eye. I have not much to say here but this is the main reason I decided to buy and own the game. Combos feel good, the load time transition of saves to new areas just feel good and modern. The game world map structure is also a significant step up from the sophisticated map structure that you get from the first two Fable games. Its beautifully presentable and you easily fast travel to another location as you do your missions.
Story
This is an area were all Fable games easily excel and this does not run short off that ball park either. For the most part I have found that in Fable III there is more of a guided relevance to things as opposed to the older games. I did not feel overwhelmed when following the story with minute side quests. By now you know I do not get into the details of the story to spoil it for you incase you have never played it but I can say its worth your attention.
I just want to slot in an opinion that can be food for thought for you. Of all the games that you own do you ever revisit them? Did you buy them to enjoy them or as merely trophy collections? I have noticed these days everyone is all about what's new in gaming and yes new things are interesting they give you a sense of something to look forward to but apart from your backlog are you going to revisit the money you paid for whatever amount of games you own? Advice: buy games that have a repayable value and that you will enjoy regardless of the gen, always go back and replay your games.
