Infamous First Light on PS5:Ray tracing

Its 9 Years since this visually immaculate title was developed and released by Sucker Punch Productions and Sony Computer Entertainment respectively. Lets briefly go back in time:

Graphics

I would normally put a video here as an illustration but nonetheless you can still find a 24 minute walkthrough of Subjective Reviews on twitch and a few clips on Instagram with emphasis on how good the game looks. You get all this on our homepage. Unfortunately at times I am a bit limited here on WIX in terms of flexibility sometimes but in any case I just want to say the game shines visually and considering we have not got any PS5 update in the slightest which is a shame however it would have even been more glorious to see this game with RT. The lighting and color contrast is nice and dark and RT would just be an icing on the cake.

Infamous games are blessed with good rock solid framerate and perfectly stable visuals and draw distances. Jus one nit pick though in that to some degree the city felt a bit flat because you could not get inside the buildings and I do not mean this in a bad way but to perhaps just increase your level of interaction with the environment but even with that said it wont affect how you play the game, just a personal preference.

Gameplay

If you have never played it its pretty much similar to the modern likes of Control and the city traversal aspect that you get with Spiderman games. It feels fluid and solid again I am without complaints.

Story

Its fairly good to be honest but not captivating to addictive dopamine levels in other words you don't feel hooked to it though its easily mentally palatable. I am not going to discuss the details of a 9 year old story but just to highlight that its fair but leaves me to wonder what's next in store for infamous games. I think we don't need a remake of these games I also think if at all they should merge the classic infamous character (Cole Macgrath) and the last entry ones if they so wish to revive this franchise but in any case whichever way they deem necessary I just want a sequel and obviously a good one.

I love Infamous games because I feel like they are unique and carry so much potential for an even dark hectic story instead of a light breeze as they sometimes feel. Infamous games also possess those x-men elements within them and with that said It leaves to my imagination the variety of ways the story can go. I think they need to patch up these games for the PS5 just to sprinkle a little extras on already looking good games. It would also be pleasant to have a sequel for the PS5, would you want that? Feel free to drop a comment below on thoughts of this.

Pros

Good quality graphics

smooth gameplay

Cons

less interaction with city buildings

No PS5 update yet
