Surely one of the best fighting games you can ever play. I really liked the visuals combined with great combat physics its just the real fighting game. Its a definite improvement from 2013s Injustice Gods Among us.
Like Its predecessor it has a great story mode for you to enjoy and it gives you the chance to use almost every character including the new ones (new to the games series). NetherRealm studios is really the best when It comes to fighting games and I am yet to see if there be any competition for them but by the look of things they will hold the crown for a considerable amount of time. This was the best fighting game of 2017 leaving no chance for any other.
There a tons of exciting combos and Super moves with explosive combat. I repeat the most outstanding factor is the graphics its just a big step-up. I think they used unreal engine 3 but here its clearly maxed out because honestly Mortal Kombat X really did not look great for me.
Some characters in MKX like Subzero and Scorpion looked cool but others like Kung Lao looked like Playstation 3/Xbox 360 characters. There were definite inconstancies with the character models. Some people even complained that it needed Unreal 4 but nonetheless it was again the best fighting game of 2015.
Injustice 2 is really ground breaking and I noticed a certain trend ever since I bought Mortal kombat 9 Komplete edition and when Injustice Gods Among us came out there seemed to be a pattern whereby Mortal Kombat follows the footsteps of Injustice. Mortal Kombat (entry level) Injustice (the maxing out of a game engine for the gen). Injustice 2 introduces gear and upgrade system Mortal Kombat 11 the same.
We do know its the same company that makes these games (Netherealm studios) led by Ed Boon so that's the most probable reason why one comes out superior to the other. I am pretty sure we shall see this trend in this current gen, as we can see Mortal Kombat 11 already looks incredible but its mainly a last gen game, the next installment of Injustice will just be amazing. I really love both games though I grew up playing Mortal Kombat games because obviously they were there before Injustice games and I really enjoyed them.
The other nice thing about this game is the gear upgrade system. You can customize your characters looks which in-turn affects their skills which is a really nice thing. It just reduces Monotony of using a premade character with rather using something you have customized. We have seen this before in games like Tekken 6 where you change your characters appearance and thereby tweaking the perks of their abilities.
Overall its a fantastic game and I am hoping they keep this consistency and dev more brilliant fighting games. If you love this genre this is one of the best fighting games you can ever have with incredible visuals and mostly fluid combat.
Let me know your thoughts and if you have questions regarding the game you can always ask because I notice I always ask for your opinion but I feel like it leaves out those who have never played the game and also want to probably know if they should buy the product, if it would be worth their time etc.
Cheers.
