Starfield is 2023's best video game story

Released:6 September 2023

Platform: X/S & PC

Developer: Bethesda

Graphics

Coming from a person who is not invested in Bethesda titles that much its easily the best looking of them all. I have played it at 1440p and also 4k and its jus good anyhow. Its not your typical visual showcase but it still doesn't fall short either. I commend Bethesda even more as they have had to render every small thing including tissues (you can check our Insta for that). It sounds silly to mention but that makes you think how they take into account the smallest of objects in their games that make their game world.

It comes as no surprise as its expected of Bethesda titles but Starfield has that visual polish and stands out as Bethesda's finest and even one of the good looking games of this year.

Gameplay

For me this is very satisfactory just falling short because on console we are still locked at 30fps.I cannot wait for them to release a 60fps performance mode to perfect an already fantastic gameplay. From melee to space combat to ground warfare you get it all here and at different camera angles. What made me appreciate the gameplay even more is that i am not just confined to 1st person but i can alternate just like RDR2.

Story

This year personally this is my best game story wise. Not so much about the main story but the plethora of rich side quests and multiple outcomes. Its a game you play to carve and discover and not just follow a scripted predetermined narrative. one thing i must make mention here is give it time don't expect it to just pickup the pace That alone denotes a worthy investment. I am yet to finish the main story as i am still going through every miscellaneous and faction quests and not as fast as i can but as much as i can indulge into all of them including the main story which feels like just a penumbra of what the game is all about.

There is re-playability (so to say) value in games like these because most story games tend to be one time plays and players tend to lose interest even for the best of AAA games after spending R1500(aka $70).
